1) World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft (often abbreviated as WoW) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) byBlizzard Entertainment. It is the fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994. World of Warcraft takes place within the Warcraft world of Azeroth, approximately four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previousWarcraft release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft on September 2, 2001. The game was released on November 23, 2004, on the 10th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise.

2) EVE Online

Eve Online (stylised EVE Online) is a video game by CCP Games. It is a player-driven, persistent-world MMORPGset in a science fiction space setting. Characters pilot customizable ships through a galaxy of over 7,500 star systems. Most star systems are connected to one or more other star systems by means of stargates. The star systems can contain moons, planets, stations, wormholes, asteroid belts and complexes.

3) Lineage 2

Lineage II is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows, the second game in the Lineage series. It is a prequel to Lineage, and is set 150 years before the earlier game. It has become very popular since its October 1, 2003 launch in South Korea, reporting 1,000,918 unique users during the month ofMarch 2007. To date, the game has been played by more than 14 million users, mostly based in Asia.

4) Dream of Mirror Online

Dream of Mirror Online (DOMO) was a free-to-play MMORPG game with storylines based on ancient Chinese mythology. It was the second online game of the Xuanyuan Jian series. The graphics were anime-style with various Chinese themes. This game placed great emphasis on teamwork and building relationships between players. The game is now no longer in service as of late-2012.

5) Guild Wars

Guild Wars is an episodic series of online 3D fantasy role-playing video games developed by ArenaNet and published by NCsoft. Because it deviated from traditional MMORPG norms in a number of areas, like instancing all the gameplay areas, and that it focused more on player vs. player (PvP) than most online RPGs, it was marketed as competitive online role-playing game. It provides two main modes of gameplay—a cooperative role-playing component and a competitive PvP component—both of which are hosted on ArenaNet's servers. Three stand-alone episodes and one expansion pack were released in the series from April 2005 to August 2007.
